Question: How loud is the alarm?

The alarm is designed to be loud enough to be heard anywhere in most homes. (The beeping tone frequency is 3.5 KHz).

Question: Will the alarm teach my cat not to spray?

Not likely. The alarm is designed to immediately tell you when your cat sprays. Most cats are initially startled, but will eventually ignore the alarm sound.

Question: Will my cat spray in the same place routinely, even when using the alarm?

A: Cats seem to ignore the spray sensor and return to spray in their preferred location.

Question: I wonder if the spray sensor might retain a smell and inadvertently draw the cat back to the scene of the crime.

A: No; any smell disappears when the sensor is rinsed off with water.

Question: Does the alarm have a wall mount?

A: Yes, there is a hole in the back of the unit to allow for easy wall hanging.

Question: Is there any risk of fire if the alarm gets wet?

A: No. The system is battery powered and is safe.

Question: Could the adhesive strips be damaging to surfaces?

A: Generally no, the adhesive is a removable, water based type. However any sensitive surfaces should be tested first.

Question: Will the product work if you place the spray sensor in a rotated position?

A: The main spray sensor must be mounted horizontally. The rectangular spray sensor may be turned either direction.

Question: How long are the cables?

A: The Spray Sensor cables are 3 feet long.

Question: How long will the spray sensor last?

A: If taken care of, a long time. Don't scratch or clean with abrasives, gentle rinsing only. Bending is ok but don't get carried away.
